She worked as a long-term substitute counselor at Hayes Elementary School during the 2012-2013 school year. During her time at ‘our school, she worked diligently with a kindergarten student in my classroom as well as provided enriching guidance lessons to our whole class. Ms. Frasier is very committed to helping students achieve success at school. This is evident through the meaningful relationships she works hard to establish with students, parents, and staff. She intentionally takes time out of her schedule to check in frequently with children that struggle ~ behaviorally and emotionally - during their school day. Not only does she stop in to informally meet with the students regarding the status of their day, but she also makes an effort to process and reflect upon their choices with the students. Ms. Frasier’s enduring engagement with the students lets them know that she really cares about them. These relationships result in a positive impact on the children, Ms. Frasier’ skills make her well suited to any counselor — particularly a school counselor — position. Her active listening allows children to feel that their voices are being heard and respected. Her social perceptiveness aides her understanding of an individual's actions; resulting in purposeful processing with a student, She is very dedicated to servicing students and their families. She goes above and beyond to find resources to help both the student and the parent. | highly recommend Ms. Frasier for any counseling position. She would be an asset to any schoo! setting because of her strong commitment to children. She is passionate about helping children, actively hearing their concerns, and teaching them coping strategies to overcome personal struggles the children might be facing.
