My dearly beloved Vietnamese brothers and sisters in Christ:
The reason that | am writing this letter is to inform you of an important notice
involving Rev. Hoang Tuan Trinh, OFM (Cha Trinh Tuan Hoang), who is working for
the Franciscan Charity.
After an inquiry conducted by some of the Vietnamese priests of our Archdiocese
about the pastoral activity that Rev. Hoang and based on the majority agreement of the
Vietnamese priests, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston has not given permission to
Rev. Hoang Tuan Trinh, OFM, to perform any Sacrament and do any kind of pastoral
activity within the Archdiocese, He has no authority to raise money within the
Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for any charity.
Based on this preceding information form the Archdiocese and at the request of the
Vietnamese priests of the Archdiocese, | would suggest that you do not participate or
support any activities of Rev. Hoang or of the Franciscan Charity.
Laudetur Hig et semper
