Service Learning Project Plan
Blackstone students have a lack of profound reflection and we are at ease to accept
things for what they are without true scrutiny. Brandon and I want to work together to bring a
philosophy club to Blackstone Academy. We have been meeting with Tim every Thursday to
learn and discuss the fundamentals. We are looking to work with Tim every Thursday now until
the end of the year to create a lesson plans. Our plan is to work off of different essential
questions every few weeks and to bring various philosophers who have different opinions about
the question. We are hoping that this method will allow space for club members to develop an
opinion regarding each individual question. For this club to qualify as a service learning project
we are going to teach the class with the assistance of Tim. Our goal for the club is to give
Blackstone students the opportunity to think deeper and cultivate a different meaning of the
world.
