Newspaper advert production

To start with we photograph what we wanted for the newspaper advert using a
camera and we then inserted it into Photoshop to be edited.
We used the eraser tool
to neaten the edges of
the image after it had
been cut out to get rid of
any of the background
that had not been

We used the Magnetic

Lasso Tool to cut out the
flame on the Bunson
burner. We then copied
and pasted it into the
Photoshop file with the
newspaper advert in.

We used the colour picking tool

to pick up the background
colour of the number plate. We
then used the paint brush tool
to colour over the NO1 OAP that
was written on the number
plate using the yellow colour.

We layered the image

of the flames behind
the mobility scooter
and used the paint
bucket to fill the
background layer
black so that the
flames were more

We then used the text

tool to re-write NO1 OAP
to make it look like a
real number plate.

This is the finished advert after the channel 4 logo was inserted as an image
from the internet.
