READING
Shira: We just completed The Hundred Dresses. We enjoyed reading the story and learning from the book.
We learned about what can happen when someone gets bullied, and we learned what a bystander is. We
learned that a bystander is someone who stands by and does nothing when someone is getting bullied or
teased and does not help even though they know what is happening is wrong. Maya: We played a Kahoot
game about the book The Hundred Dresses. It had true and false questions, vocabulary questions and
questions about what happened in the book.
Elle: We just got to pick a historical fiction book to use in our next reading unit. Everyone has their own book
about something that was interesting to them.

KATYS KLOSET
Sarah: We have raised $477 so far for Katys Kloset. This money has come from donations made by families
and businesses. Sami: We sold key chains at school on Friday, March 20. We will sell them again on Tuesday,
March 31. The money we make will go to Katys Kloset. Hanna: We made a box for the friends in our class to
donate their change for Katys Kloset. If you or your child would like to donate coins, please send them in to
our class. Rebecca: We are hand writing thank-you notes to people who have made donations. We are
sending them out as fast as we can!

CURSIVE
Ethan: We have finished our cursive book and now can take it home. Maya: We are now writing everything
in cursive! Gev. Lansing: Cursive books went home at conferences! Please remember to encourage your
child to write in cursive at home as well!

MATH
Hannah : In math we are learning to round up and down! For some, it is pretty tough. For others, it is easier.
Maddie: We are reviewing addition and subtraction. Gev. Lansing: We are also starting to work on adding
and subtracting larger numbers that require carrying and borrowing. Rebecca: We are learning how to
draw a proof drawing with a subtraction problem and with an addition problem.

JEWISH STUDIES
Rebecca: We just finished Avrams seventh test, and now we are studying about Pesach. Rachel: We had a
packet about Pesach where we had to fill in the blanks in the sentences about the story of Pesach, and we
had to write the plagues in English under the Hebrew. The story part was rhyming. The pictures were silly.
Everyone was laughing when we saw them on the SmartBoard.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Rebecca: We are learning how to play speedball. Neta: We're playing badminton and ping pong with a
ball that has holes in it. I dont know the name of it.

MUSIC
Rebecca We learned a new version of Hineh Mah Tov. Rachel: We learned how to sing London Bridge is
Falling Down in Hebrew. Itamar and Shani taught us. It was fun to see them and to learn the song. Neta: I
think we all know the words in Hebrew. Or is it just me?

COMPUTERS
Hannah: We finished our comic strips. Rachel: They were about someone who was cyber bullying a person
and a super hero digital citizen who stopped the person cyber bullying.

ART
Beni: We are getting ready for the Art Show, which is on March 30. Rebecca: We started stitching on fabric
for the Art Show.

LIBRARY
Rebecca: We are reading Fribble Mouse and the Secret of the Key. Maya: The book is about a chest. The
chest has a secret compartment. The secret compartment has two envelopes. One envelope has two
