Siegfried and Roy are the men who star in the show with Gildah, but the show closed in 2003 because Roy was attacked by one of the tigers. ln December 2003, Pink wrote to Siegfried and Roy. She explained that she was worried about Gildah. Gildah is an old, lonely animal’ she wrote. ‘We know that elephants are intelligent. social animals who need relationships ... but Gildah is living in a small cage in a hotel in Las Vegas. Pink asked them if they would let Gildah go to live ina sanctuary where she could meet other elephants, walk through the trees and play in the water.
