Statistical Technique:
Weighted average statistical method used for the sanctioning of lone to two account holders.
Justification:
According to the case ABC Branch of XYZ bank has decided to give 10 lakh lone each on long term basis to only two of their
customers (account holders),who are businessman of locality and about 20 businessmen had applied for the loan in order to
develop their Business further. In order to reject some of the application(as the fund was limited) the Bank decided that account
holders who have maintained a minimum balance of 5000INR would be considered for the lone, as a result 10 applications were
rejected as they were not satisfying the minimum requirement of minimum balance of 5000INR.Now the 10 applications was found
meeting the monthly minimum balance even greater for the entire year
If I were the Manager the XYZ Bank, I would select from the remained 10 applications, the Account Holder 4 th and 6th for loan to
sanction. This is because A/C Holders 4th and 6th are maintaining the maximum balance than the remaining eight A/C Holder's.
Only 4th and 6th Account Holder's has maximum averages(See Table Bold Cell) than remaining 8 A/C Holder's.
So, 4th and 6th Account Holder's should be considered for the loan to give.
