My Question:
I am currently using Kahoot! to review
for tests and quizzes. The kids have had
a positive response and I have managed
to raise test and quiz scores. Will using
Kahoot! for assignments raise
homework scores as well?

Kahoot! For
Assignments
Students were assigned assignments
on Kahoot!. They play like the quizzes,
but are at a slower pace and offer more
explanation.
Students were also assigned to make
their own Kahoot! Quizzes and play
them with each other.
All assignments for this week were
assigned on Kahoot!

Kahoot! For
Assignments
Continued
Students were graded on correct
answers, spelling, grammar, and
participation (just like normal
assignments)
I did daily check-ins with students to
monitor their progress.

Baseline Data
Homework scores were averaging an
81.8% the unit before implementation
(that is all of my class periods
averaged).
Some class periods were on the higher
side, and some much lower.

My Findings
Using Kahoot! for all assignments
raised the average homework score
from 81.8% to 96.5%.
This tells me that the kids enjoy
Kahoot! and it is an effective tool in the
classroom
I dont plan on doing units using only
Kahoot!. I felt in order for my findings
to be valid, I had to use only Kahoot! to
make sure my data wasnt skewed.
