Through constructing a magazine, the author learned several new technologies. They used Adobe InDesign CS6 for the first time to create double page spreads, picking it up quickly due to experience with Photoshop. Applying strokes behind text and images in InDesign made the elements stand out, a technique the author plans to use again. While initially struggling to correctly insert and resize images in InDesign, the author eventually learned how to do this and understood the process. The author also learned to convert PSD files to JPEG format in order to upload images to Blogger and Scribd, which don't support PSD files.

technologies from the process of constructing this product? Through the process of constructing my magazine I have learnt and developed many things about in technologies, such as; Using the programme Adobe InDesign CS6 to create my double page spread, I had never used this before and I think I picked it up quite quickly as it was similar to Photoshop which I had used multiple times before. Putting strokes behind my text and images on Adobe InDesign CS6, I hadnt tried using strokes before on Photoshop but it made my text and images really stand out and I will definitely use it again. Inserting and Resizing an image on Adobe InDesign CS6, I found this really complicated at first as it always came out pixelated and the wrong size to what I wanted, but once I place it correctly and resized it right it became clear what I was meant to do. Changing a PSD file into a JPEG file, I had to do this when I wanted to upload my Front cover and Contents page onto Blogger, I had to convert the files because Blogger doesnt hold PSD files and Scribd doesnt convert PSD files therefore I had to change them to JPEG files so that I could upload them as images straight onto Blogger.
