REF.:_V-1901-311-A.763 2.9. CURRENT TRANSFORMERS — £ PROPOSAL
We are pleased to inform the folowing with regard to above inquiy
‘The speaticaions of CT for 6.6KV combination unt are as follows,
+ Type: EUs.0R
+ Ratio TSA
+ Accuracy class: SP10, CLASS 3
* Burden 15VA
Its shown as folows thal the ratings ofthe current transformer are adequa to operat the
relays under faut conditions,
“The worst fault on this system is short crcuit faut at primary point of transformer, andthe
short circuit current of this system is 31.54,
Breaking of the short clreult curent is not interrupted by VAMC
(Vacuum Magnetic Contactor) which has 4KA breaking capaci,
however by the Power Fuse which is installed into the combination
Starter unit andi located at primary side of VUC.
When the Power Fuse is blown out (interrupted) by a short cicut
current, the contac of Blowout detector makes and sends a signal to
the binary input module in protection relay. Then, the protection
relay can detect a short circuit faut without CT.
In addition, short circuits current never cary to secondary side of
Power Fuse, because Power Fuse interrupt a short creut curent
within .016ee. (Refer o Fig.1) Therefore, It never happen the any
problem due to short cut current af the CT. Furthermore,
Structure constructing main circuit which is installed in primary side
of Power Fuse absolutely withstand since shor ceut current.
‘Also, same specication of his CT has been operated in existing
panel, therefore there is no problem mentioned above. (IC
