Gauge
Absolute
Differential

Gauge Sensors
measures the difference of the medium
gauge and the atmospheric pressure,
therefore one side of the membrane is
always atmospheric pressure.
Example: car tire pressure equipment

Absolute pressure sensors

has no ventilation hole and that side of the
membrane is vacuum.
especially suited for use in explosive areas
like LPG and LNG
Example: car LPG-tank pressure
equipment

Differential pressure
sensor
has inputs to each side of the membrane,
one for the positive input and the other one
for the negative pressure input
