April 30th- LAST DAY TO REGISTER

Running Rules:
Runners stay behind front adult leader
Runners stay on the marked course
Runners NEVER run off the sidewalks/Friendship Trail
Runners must respect neighbors property
Runners should encourage other participants to have fun

May 16th- RACE DAY

Running Etiquette
Save space for others and dont be a sidewalk hog.
Look over your shoulder to check behind you before coming to a walk.
Avoid stopping suddenly and cutting other runners off.
Slower joggers stay to the right. (Or outer lanes on race day)
Pass on the left and verbally alert the person ahead of you by saying on your left.
Never run more than 2-wide in order to allow space for on-coming users and passing runners.
Come to a full stop before crossing streets. Be sure it is safe to cross. Do not assume traffic will stop for you.
Do not litter.
Run an even pace. Try to avoid the sprint-walk cycle.
Try to run a fairly straight path. Zigzagging makes it difficult and unsafe for others to pass.
If you need to adjust apparel, gear, tie shoes, and you need to be at a complete stop, stand at the edge of the
route in order to stay out of the way of other runners.
Spitting is frowned upon.
Be careful at drink stations. Slow your pace, grab the drink, and keep moving forward. Be sure your cup makes
it into the garbage! Do not throw the cup onto the ground. Be aware and avoid splashing others.
Be polite and encourage others.
Use your manners.
