CHAPTER 1
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
a. General Statement
In teaching EFL, teachers need to develop their quality and be professional in teaching.
b. Body
Most of EFL Teachers has known about teacher professional development. They are ask
to be the good teacher not only in their personality but also in their quality to develop
their teaching performance. The way how they teach and how they know about teaching
is needed. As EFL Teacher, it will be complicated if they have a good comprehension
about material but less about their teaching performance. here, the teacher should be
able give their perceptions about how important the professional development in their
teaching.
c. Conclusion
The professionalism in teaching is needed to improve the quality of teacher. The
perceptions of teacher professional development from both of students and also teachers
is important to know because it will measure how far the professional development
applied in teaching
