RE: Recommendation for Tori Rolston

March 2, 2015

Dear Committee:
I am pleased to offer my strong recommendation to you on behalf of my former student
Ms. Tori Rolston. I have known Tori Rolston for just under two academic years. We met
when she was a student in my human behavior and policy classes.
As a student in my courses Tori Rolston was an invaluable source of knowledge and
assistance to me and other students in the class. She often took the lead on group projects
working well as a team member as well as independently. I can state without
equivocation that Ms. Rolston is an outstanding student of social work and research.
She exhibited the knowledge, skill, and patience that are ideal for conveying new and
complex information. In my courses she not only demonstrated interpersonal, creativity,
teaching, and research skills but also showed intelligence in her classroom participation
and her interaction with her fellow classmates. Moreover, she has the highly desirable
characteristics of reliability, concern for others, and sensitivity to people.
Since our first meeting I have always been impressed by her ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing, with people from varied backgrounds. Moreover,
Ms. Tori Rolston has shown perseverance toward her education and professional goals
and interest in making a difference in peoples lives. I have found her to be excited about
learning and contributing as a professional. In my opinion she exhibits the exceptional
knowledge, skill, and patience that are ideal for a social worker. It is with great pleasure
that I write this letter of unconditional support for an outstanding student of social work. I
highly recommend Ms. Tori Rolston and I urge you to give her application favorable
consideration.
Should you wish any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 314-4406553 or bb3704@wayne.edu.
Sincerely,
Dr. Martin-Keys
