qualificationstodesign,buildandfinancethreeToronto2015Pan/ParapanAmericanGamesprojects.
TheRFQbundleiscomprisedoftwostadiaandavelodromeproject:
-- The proposed Ivor Wynne Stadium will be one of the four host
venues for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games' soccer
competition.
-- The proposed velodrome will host the track cycling competition
at the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games.
-- The proposed York University stadium will be used as the
athletics venue for the Games.

TheseprojectswillproceedunderInfrastructureOntario'sAlternativeFinancingandProcurementmodelwherebyrisksassociatedwithdesigning,constructingand
financingthefacilitiesaretransferredtotheprivatesector.
Thedesignandconstructionofthestadiaandvelodromewillstrivetoincorporatesustainabledevelopmentpracticessuchasreducedgreenhousegasemissions,
wastediversionandrecyclingandefficientuseofenergy,waterandotherresources.
TheRFQ,availableatwww.merx.com ,isthefirststepintheprocesstoselectateamtodelivertheprojects.RFQsubmissionswillbereviewedtoprequalifyproject
teamswiththedesign,developmentandconstructionexperience,aswellasthefinancialexperienceandcapacitytodeliverprojectsofthissizeandcomplexity.
Prequalifiedteamswillbeinvitedtorespondtoarequestforproposalsinsummer2011.
InfrastructureOntarioandTO2015areworkingwithmunicipalitiesintheGreaterTorontoHamiltonAreaandGoldenHorseshoe,universities,andprovincialagenciesto
procureanddelivertheAthletes'VillageandGamesvenues,suchasthestadiaandvelodromefacilities.

accommodateathletics,cyclingandsoccercompetitionsduringtheToronto2015Pan/ParapanAmericanGames.
ThesiteforthePan/ParapanAmericanAthleticsStadiumwillbelocatedatYorkUniversity'sKeeleStreetcampusinToronto.ThesiteforthePan/ParapanAmerican
StadiumandVelodromewillbelocatedwithintheCityofHamilton.

TheYorkUniversityfacilitywillbea5,000fixedseatstadiumandusedastheathleticsvenuefortheGamesandbehomeofYorkUniversityathleticsfollowingthe
Games.
ThestadiumwillbedesignedtoTO2015,InternationalAssociationofAthleticsFederations(IAAF)andCanadianInteruniversitySport(CIS)specificationsandinclude:

IvorWynneStadium,locatedintheCityofHamilton,isaCanadianFootballLeaguefacility.Thestadiumwasoriginallybuiltin1928andwaslastrenovatedin2002.
Theprojectinvolvesthecompletereconstructionof15,000seatsinthesouthstandsalongwitha10,000seatrenovationinthenorthstands.Theredevelopedstadium
will:
-- meet all of the technical requirements of both the Canadian
Football League (CFL) and the Fdration Internationale de
Football Association (FIFA) requirements;
-- have expansion capabilities necessary to host future Grey Cup
games;
-- have press and broadcasting facilities;
-- have suites and concessions areas; and
-- support space for Games and legacy activities.

-- provide fixed and temporary seating with a Games capacity of
