However, no salary grant or any other salary grant would be given to any of the institutesimplementing this scheme. 2.3 Sponsored and self-financed category of students including those in receipt of any other similar assistantships / scholarship / fellowship would not be eligible for assistantship / scholarship / fellowship under the revised scheme. Further, the assistantship / scholarship / fellowship would be provided to the scholars on the basis of GATE scores above the prescribed cut off level. B. Tech graduates from the IITs getting a CGPA score of 8 or. above (on scale of 10) would also be entitled to the assistantship without having to appear in GATE 23 — Studerlts of final years of dual degree integrated programmes would also be entitled to assistantship from the 9” semester onwards in case they get a CGPA score of 8 or above (on a scale of 10) 3. The revised rates of fellowship for Doctoral programmes will also apply to Ph.D. scholars registered under QIP programmes. But assistantships would not be available to those sponsored by the Industry or self-financed category.
