Lauren Mnayarji Takes Home Crown at Miss IU Pageant
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. The Miss Indiana University Pageant chose Lauren Mnayarji as
its 2015 titleholder Sunday evening in the Indiana Memorial Union. Mnayarji was
chosen from twelve other contestants based on the categories of interview, on-stage
question, talent, swimsuit and evening gown.
Mnayarji, a junior at IU, takes the crown from Miss IU 2014, Erika Burghardt. As Miss
IU, Mnayarji will receive a $1,500 scholarship from the IU Foundation, represent the IU
community throughout the year and promote her platform, Mental Health Advocacy and
Awareness.
Im super honored, said Mnayarji. Im very excited for the year. Ive wanted this for a
long time.
She also takes home the One Can Make a Difference Award a $250 scholarship from
SCI Kiwanis and the Talent Award a $250 scholarship from American Legion Post 18 for
her contemporary dance routine.

As Miss IU 2015, Mnayarji will represent IU in the Miss Indiana Pageant this summer,
