Hallux valgus is considered to be a
medial deviation of the first metatarsal
and lateral deviation and/or rotation of
the hallux.

Causes
The most common cause of hallux valgus
is biomechanical instability.
Many of the problems in mechanical structures of the foot are genetic and
make a person prone to developing hallux valgus.

Wearing tight and/or pointy shoes has been said to be a cause of hallux valgus,
