A.

Family Communication

At the beginning of the semester, all art students will be given a letter from the art teacher. The
letter from the art teacher will contain ways to contact the art teacher. It will also invite
parents/guardians to get involved in the art room by participating in various activities and supply
drives. Parents/guardians will be given the option to provide contact information and sign up for
an art email newsletter that will go out during the semester.

Along with the letter home at the beginning of the year, students will also take home a
creativity is messy information sheet with remedies to remove various stains from clothing due
to excessive creativity happening in the art room.

Halfway through the semester, all art students will be given a letter from the art teacher giving
an overview of what is going on in art class. This letter will contain possible supplies that are
needed, where their students art is displayed and how to get involved in projects within the
community relating to the arts.
At the end of the semester, all art students will be given a letter from the art teacher to inform
parents what is in the end of the year portfolio that students will be taking home. Along with
information about the portfolio, the letter will also contain information on properly displaying and
taking care of students art to keep it safe through the years.

Communication/Collaboration with Colleagues

Throughout the year, the art teacher will send out emails pertaining to various information of
what is happening in the art room, as well as with art in the community. Along with information
about getting involved in the community, there will also be a survey included. This survey will
allow teachers to inform the art teacher of ideas that they may want incorporated with future art
projects. This survey will also allow teachers to provide feedback on discipline in the art room
and what is carrying over to the classroom.
