Attendees will receive information on the college application process
including Apply Texas, required entrance exams, and required paperwork,
along specific information regarding admission to the University of Texas.
Community Colleges Kimberly Steele, San Jacinto College

Attendees will receive information regarding admission to and the types of
programs San Jacinto College and other community colleges offer. San
Jacinto College offers a wide variety of 2-year programs as well as academic
coursework that transfer to 4-year universities.
Financial Aid 101 Eddie Simpson, San Jacinto College

Attendees will receive information about the different types of financial aid
and the financial aid application process. It is never too early to know what
your financial aid options are!

Attendees will receive information on NCAA recruitment policies and
procedures. The NCAA Clearing House registration process with be
discussed in detail.
College Planning for Gifted Students Michelle Reynolds, Pasadena

Attendees will receive information on college planning specifically designed
for students in the GT or Pre-AP/AP program. Information will include
choosing your goals, planning your education, success strategies that work,
picking a college for you, practical tips and directions, and important
timelines and checklists.

Attendees will receive information on the differences and similarities
between the SAT and ACT, testing timeline, test prep, and other tests
students may have to take.
STEM Education and Career Opportunities Dr. Robert Ford, Texas

Attendees will receive information about TSUs Center for STEM Education
(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), available majors and
careers in the STEM fields, and scholarship opportunities at TSU.
Financial Aid Opportunities from Workforce Solutions Sylvia

Attendees will receive information about the services Workforce Solutions
offers. Workforce Solutions offers career guidance and scholarship

opportunities to help pay for career training.
