To Whom It May Coneern:
Mr. Robert Schwartz has requested I write a letter in support of him receiving a teaching
position, a task I consider both a joy and a privilege. I have the pleasure of
knowing Mr. Schwartz.as both an advise and a student in the Special Education
Program. During this time I have found him to be honest, caring, and trustworthy. Being
highly organized, timely, and extremely personable are some of Mr. Schwart2’s other
attributes and strengths. However, | feel that his true gift is in the sincerity that he shows
towards others.
Asa professional, Mr. Schwartz displays dedication and a strong work ethic by giving
many hours to his studies. Mr. Schwartz displays his knowledge of special education in
his assignments, projects, and discussions. As Mr, Schwartz’s university field supervisor,
I directly observe and cvaluate his skills in his special education student teaching. His
activities and lessons are carefully planned and differentiated to fit the needs of the
varying ability levels within the special education classroom. He is able to develop
lessons balancing academic and functional skills, Mr. Schwartz acknowledges the
individual needs of students, both academically and emotionally. His patience and
relaxed personality help create a calm and caring classroom envionment. Often when I
arrive, students are gathered around him sharing stories and events from the weekend.
His kind and generous nature quickly develops respect and trust in the classroom. This is
why Mr. Schwartz is the recipient of the Special Education Student Teacher of the Year
Award,
‘Asa leader, Mr. Schwartz is also willing to give his time for campus events. Mr.
‘Schwartz is a true professional who will never be satisfied arriving and leaving with the
students, but rather a teacher-leader who will put in the time needed to help manage
school initiatives and programs, just as he has for many years with Special Olympics.
It is without reservation that I recommend Mr. Robert Schwartz for a teaching position.
He will be an asset to any school system.
Sincerely,
Dr. Carrie L. Mitchell
