Instruction for Paper Review

PETE6363 Spring 2014

The sample review report distributed during class can be used as a guideline for this
assignment. There are 6 questions.
First two questions are yes/no answer.
Question 3 to 6 can be answer as multiple choices.
3. none/minimum commercial acceptable/too commercial unacceptable
4. cutting edge technology/limited new ideas/field case
5. Outstanding/average/unacceptable (make sure to write your note for the
ranking
6. good/average/below average
There are two comment sections. If you feel there are comments that should be
directed to the associate editor (the one review your review), leave it is the top box.
The technical comments should be written in the second box. If you decide to deny
the paper, you need to list the reason for denying. If you decide for major revision,
then list the main reason that you think it is not appropriate for publication. If you
decide for minor revision then list the minor mistakes (mostly English mistakes and
format issues).
Make sure to read the paper carefully before give comments.
