Addi
ional Thoughts/Overall Reaction to the Novel
T thought it was interesting how the book ended. Originally, I didn’t know how the author was
going to finish the book and show Eddie's overall lesson. I liked how he met the little git] in the
fire and he reconciled with her in sorts when he washed her of all the bun marks and seats. It
seemed like it was a metaphorical representation of all of Eddie’s sins being cleaned as he finally
made it into heaven,

Write two to three paragraphs summarizing the chapter or today's reading. Use the chart that
guides you through summarizing,
‘Today I have accomplished no reading whatsoever. I finished the book over a week ago.
But if you mean chapters 11-14, Eddie found out that Marguerite was his fourth person, took a
tour through a bunch of weddings, and leamed that love is forever, even old love, however gross
it may be.
He also had the wonderful experience of learning that he was responsible for the death
of a five-year-old girl, just to brighten his day after he found out that he was also in part
responsible for the death of his wife. I ove this heaven! Then there was a mushy part where
Eddie found out that his life had purpose and he was atoning for sin and all that happy stuff.
