On Track 57, an electric organ part has been added to the bass and drums on the left channel.

In the first eight measures of this example, the right hand is playing a mix of arpeggios and triads. For
example, in measure 1 the D major triad in second inversion is arpeggiated (A-D-F# from bottom to top),
leading to a G triad in first inversion landing halfway through beat 2 (and anticipating beat 3). Note also the
use of triad-over-root voicings on the Bm7, Gmaj7, and Em7 chords. Meanwhile, in this section the left
hand is anchoring the root with a simple half-note pattern.
Then beginning in measure 9, the energy builds when the left hand switches to a dotted-quarter/eighth/halfnote pattern, again playing the root of each chord, with the right-hand triads anticipating beat 1 by an
eighth note. This is typical of Billy Joel's style, and of pop/rock keyboard styles in general.
