THE SHOES
by: Paula Mae Sales

Kids go to school everyday

But all of them werent as happy as other days.
All of them were on their bad sides
Since it was raining outside.
Mud was all over the shoes and inside too.
Ew! There is mud on my shoes!
Eh! Really? Theres mud on my shoes too.
The teacher yelled, Ahh! Why is there mud in my classroom?
Everybody tried to clean their shoes and the room
And nobody liked that idea too.
The teacher sat on the chair and watching
The children clean the classroom here and there.

B : Write a short passage inserting some form of conjunctions, prepositions and

interjections.

My sister, Maria and I were driving home from a party late one evening in early
August. It was a foggy night as rain was pouring down like cats and dogs for the whole
afternoon. The visibility was so low that we cant even see the houses and shops along
the roadside.
Hey! Did you see a woman swaying and smiling at us just now? I think we should
make a U-turn and help her.
Eh? I dont think I saw anyone, Mary. And well, I wouldnt do so, neither. Its getting
dark now. Your silly act will somehow put us in danger, said Maria.
ErOkay then. I think you got your point. Lets go back to our home sweet home!
Ah, now I see your maturity. HAHAHA!
Oh, please stop make joke on me and drive your car!
We reached home after another 30 minutes ride. It was around 8 oclock at night.
We had a good rest and didnt feel any slightest of regret for not helping the woman.
