a. Explain how liberalism affected Russias domestic policy.
The Russian domestic policy was affected by liberalism because Russian empire wanted to
force everyone to learn the Russian language. The Czar reversed the laws for from the
constitution so they can make some sort of change.
b. Describe two features of Russias foreign policy
Russia promoted that all Slavic people were under the Russian leadership.They could rule
under the Russian leadership to anyone and the other feature is that Russia continues to
expand the land east into Asia. And also continue expanding toward the Ottoman Empire in
the south as well .

a. List the liberal reforms that Alexander II accomplished in Russia.
He has accomplished the reform of serfdoms, restricting them from pool. And if they
were freed then they could work if the factory and would benefit from it. Also the
reformed the courts which the civil and criminal courts appeals were different as the local
justices of the peace were also. But the problem with the court system has declined.

b. What did he do with regard to the serfs?


He allowed the nations to elect zemstvos. Which they controlled the program like public
health, education, assisting the poor, and some public works programs.
3. Analyzing Ideas:
a. Why did the Revolution of 1905 fail to overthrow the monarchy?
One reason they failed to overthrow the monarchy was because the armyw
as still loyal and that wouldnt end the regime. Also the French had
given money to the government. Another reason is because revolution groups were divided
and feared the radical demand and disagreed.
b. How did Nicholas II respond to the Revolution of 1905?
He tried to resist changing and is trying to keep monarchy to stay the same for years in
the future
