Graphic Organizer Assignment:

For this assignment we are examining the culmination of events that made
up the Civil Rights movement. This assignment will allow you to understand
the sequence of events and make connections that will prepare you for your
research paper. You will create a time line with the minimum of 10-12 events
and a paragraph description for each.
1. Use the standard graphic organizer template which is available on this
lesson section of Weebly.
2. For this assignment you are required to read and summarize from the
website provided or the textbook.
3. Please work individually to create an original graphic organizer
(timeline).
4. In the template provided you must start with WWII through the end of
the Civil Rights Movement (1940-1960).
5. Choose events that you felt were the most important, examine them
and explain why on the paragraph provided.
6. You must add two pictures of 2 of the events in your timeline.
7. Please spell check and use complete sentences.
8. This assignment is due Monday, April 6, you have 2 days to complete
this assignment.
9. A rubric and an example could be found on weebly as well.
