Teacher Education Program Learning Outcomes (TEPLO) #12

March 27, 2015

Politics, Ethics, and Professionalism:
Last night my students had their music performance. It was so well put together by the music
teacher and my students were so excited to be able to perform in front of their families. It was
interesting to see my students with their parents and to be able to meet a few of them. After the
performance I followed Ms. Gifford as she acknowledged and talked with several of the parents.
It was a lot of fun and a great experience to have.
External Social Forces:
This week has been much harder for one of my students. She has all of a sudden shut down and
she is really hard to motivate throughout the day. She lays on her desk and refuses to do work.
She is also very whiny and clingy/resistant at times. Ms. Gifford and I are thinking it may have a
reason to do with her family moving schools soon. After sending home emails and parent letters
we still have not been able to contact her family. I think it would be best for Kiera to finish out
her school year at Onsted. This may help make the transition a little easier.
