I reviewed the Systems Theory when

evaluating how the job change of a

single mother would effect the routine
and structure of the other family
members in the home. This knowledge
guided my approach when discussing
the consequences in the counseling
session.

HOW am I using Core Competency #7?

Gen 7.2
I used the PIE theory to evaluate the

home lifestyle of a single Dad who

was recently released from prison. The
Ecological Systems Theory provided
insight on the reciprocal relationship
between this parent and his
environmental contexts beyond the
home.
