place
and
bagkround of the
events
Events : explain the events in
chronological order
(event 1, 2,3 ....)
Reorientation: closing

Simple Past Tense

(+) S + V2 + O
(-) S + did not + V1 + O
(?) Did + S + V1 + O
Example:
(+) I went to Raja Ampat on the last
vacation
(-) My brother didnt play on the beach
(?) Did the visitors see the beautiul view
there

Past Continous
(+) S+ was/were + Ving +O
(-) S + was/were + not + Ving + O
(?) Was/were + S+ Ving + O?
Example:
+ She was eating lunch under coconut
tree
- Ivan and Gilbert were not going
together

How to write recount

Use the guide questions:
1. What was the your experinced about?
2. Where did happen?
3. When did happen?
4. Who was/were involved?
5. What happened first,second,third, and so
forth?
6. What happened then?
7. What happened finally?
8. How did you feel about that?
