To the residents and staff of Highland Hills Village:
I am writing to say thank you to you all for allowing me to spend the last eight months here
at Highland Hills Village. You have allowed me to come into your place of work, and for
many, your home, and let me spend many hours here to further my education. Each of you
made the effort to make me feel comfortable and become part of the Highland Hills family,
and for that I am grateful.
I am lucky to say that I have learned so much during my time here. I feel that I became a
better student and will become a better healthcare professional someday because of this
experience. Perhaps more importantly, however, are the friendships I have formed with each
of you. An internship, something that usually is negatively stigmatized, became enjoyable
for me all because of the wonderful people I was able to interact with each time I was here.
Whether we were playing games, working together, or simply enjoying each others
company, I am fortunate to say that I truly enjoyed my time here at Highland Hills
Unfortunately, this semester is coming to a close, and my graduation from the University of
Georgia is fast approaching in early May. My last day with you all will be Thursday, April 23,
2015. As I move on to further my education, I hope you will remember the good times we
have had together over these last few months. Again, I thank you all for treating me as a
friend and making me feel welcome here. This has been such a wonderful experience, and I
can only hope that you all have learned as much from me as I have from you. Thanks again
for making my time at Highland Hills so memorable.
