March 19, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, Christine Matthews isa good teacher and is prepared to take over a classroom. Christine came to my class atthe beginning of her student teaching already having some experience as an assistant in the classroom. She tried to get to know each child in our class, She built a positive relationship with the class members creating an environment where students are excited to be in her classroom. Christine uses many sources when preparing her lessons. She uses the teaching manuals, internet, and colleagues to enhance her lessons. During her lessons, she explains the concept, guides students through activities, and checks for understanding. Christine uses positive reinforcement to encourage students to be on their best behavior. ‘When students misbehave, Christine follows the school behavior plan to corect those behaviors. Christine is comfortable asking for and receiving advice. When she is given suggestions, Christine readily uses them to improve her teaching.
