Financial Aid Reflection

1. What financial assistance does the FAFSA offer? Based on your application, do you
qualify for assistance through the FAFSA? If so, how much do you expect to receive
and how will you use this money?
The FAFSA offers Financial Aid for college students to help pay for their books and
classes. I do qualify for it because my dad has a low income. I do not know how much
money to expect but I know I will use it on books, tuition, supplies, and my parking pass.
2. Are you eligible to receive the Cal Grant? If so, how much do you expect to receive
and how will you use this money?
Yes, I am eligible for the Cal Grant and I will use it on school books, tuition, my parking
pass, and anything I would need for school.
3. Are you eligible to receive a Board of Governors Fee Waiver? If so, do you plan on
applying for the BOG Fee Waiver?
Yes, I am eligible become my dad gets very low income. I do plan on applying for the
BOG Fee Waiver so that my tuition fees will be waived.
4. Describe your findings from the private scholarship search. Do you plan on applying
to any of the scholarships available? If so, to which are you planning to apply and
how much do you expect to receive if you are accepted?
I plan on trying to get a softball scholarship to a four-year university. I also plan on
applying to the common scholarship application. I can get more than $5,000 from this
scholarship for books, tuition, parking pass, and supplies.
