08/01/2010 – Guest lecture from Persil ECO Power at the UVA in

Amsterdam with Stijn de Beer, Marketing Directeur at Henkel

Together with Maarten Schäfer from CoolBrands, Stijn de Beer gave a guest lecture
to the Communication students of the UVA in Amsterdam on brand awareness.

Using the case of Persil Eco Power - a new, 100% biodegradable laundry detergent
about to be launched in the Benelux by Henkel – Stijn explained the importance of
being “top of mind” for consumers and the challenges the brand faces to
communicate their message efficiently to their target group.
Stijn later invited the students to provide him with some feedback and discuss
Henkel’s approach to sustainability.
