On 31st October, 2014 I arrived at 7:45 am at San Fernando West Secondary School. I
wondered how long again before my colleagues arrive, but they all came in soon after. I did my
teaching practise in front of about 25 students, who were attentive, co-operative and enthusiastic.
This field day was also held with the usual group of teachers and with Ms. Michelle Taylor,
assistant lecturer at U.W.I. School of Education.

My peers also commented on the impact and creativity of the set induction, the manner in
which the lesson flowed and how engaged the students were during the lesson. These positive
comments helped to boost my confidence and motivation in the way I go forward to teach my
lessons on field days and more importantly at Cunupia Secondary School. Ms. Koreen
Mohammed also delivered a captivating lesson on Arrays, she was well organized and also
engaged the students. Ms. Tricia was recovering from Dengue which prevented her from doing
her lesson. The evaluation from my peers and lecturer was well received.
