analysis and interpretation of the geographical patterns of human culture (regions,

ethnicity, language, and religion).

1. What learning outcome(s) did this meet? How?

From the first reading quiz, I learned how the human culture related to identify country as a
formal, functional, or vernacular region. To identify the regions, I need to understand the
culture, language most spoken, ethnicity, religion, and who or what decide the boarder among
the countries or cities or even a small area. For example, PCC is vernacular region because
there are variety of cultures and languages.

2. What makes it your best work? What did you learn by creating it? What does it say about
you?

Even though I couldnt get a full score, I think it is the first my best work in this course.
Before I took the quiz, I read textbook many times, took notes, and researched the terms I
didnt completely understand. I couldnt get a 100% because I needed to think the examples
which not on the textbook. I learned that it is important to read and understand the text, but to
think other examples by myself is really helpful to answer irregular problems.

3. What skills did you use to learn the material in this assignment/project? Which were most
effective? Why?

I actually could not get a full credit for the quiz, but I got much knowledge. This quiz didnt
show me the correct answer until I finished all 2 attempts, so it was a good chance to make
sure whether my knowledge is correct or wrong after the first attempt finished. I searched
definition of some key terms to understand completely and images of cultural patterns. Both
studying way I did is effective because I found new examples that gave me different ideas
and I got slightly higher score for the second attempts.

4. List three ways you think you have grown or developed as a result of this
assignment/assignment/project.

I think I developed my research skill a little bit because I could find clear resources with
many examples. I also think my reading skill is improved because I read the textbook many
times and I could read faster than previous time. Reviewing my knowledge is another skill I
developed. By matching my knowledge with textbook or other references, I could find
mistakes and misunderstanding about the course materials.
