Memorandum

To:

Professor S. Anderson

From:

Jameson Deshazer

Subject:

Instructions Progress Report

Date:

April 10, 2015

Summary
The reason for this memo is to discuss the current stages of my progress on creating written and visual
instructions for students in need of assistance with printing abilities here at BSU.

Purpose
Technical Communications specialists are a vital part of almost any small or large scale company in the world.
Various employers will ask that a person applying for a job in this specific career field be able to use the most
basic technologies. The use of some of todays most simple and easy to use devices, such as the printing
machine, can be a challenge to those who struggle with English as a second language. Here are the primary
options for printing documents while on campus.
(1). Printing from a BSU computer
(2). Printing from an external memory device
(3). Printing from a personal email account
My current status is: a revised edition to the written portion of my How to Print instructions, a completed dry
run of the program Camtasia, and successful organization of my jpeg files into their appropriate categories for
the written part, and a rough draft of the written script for the video section. I hope to have a finalized written
section which will include pictures for specific tasks, by this Wednesday April 15, 2015. This should put me on
track to complete the video portion by the scheduled deadline of 04/19/2015.

Feedback
Please respond with any suggestions you may have, in regards to this memo, or on possible areas which could
use some improvement. When responding please keep emails to a 300 word limit as I have done here, and I
look forward to hearing from you.
