Systematic Observation 1: Teacher Movement

Mr. Reggie had another successful day with his class. I was
observing Mr. Reggie on his movements throughout the whole lesson.
While observing Reggie I noticed that when he was stationary he was
either providing the student with feedback or observing if they were
doing the task correctly. Reggie was also very productive because he
would walk from one side of the court and then go to the other side of
the perimeter. This allowed not only for him to see his students but for

him to see and hear him as well. When he would walk around the
perimeter I did notice the students participation increase, not a huge
improvement but it definitely improved. Honestly I wouldnt know what
to change in his movement except too just be more consistent.
Systematic Observation 2: Time Analysis
For this systematic observation sheet I had to observe the
amount of activity the students were getting, the amount of
management that Reggie had to do and as well as the instructions
given. During his lesson and its always in the beginning, most of the
students are not behaving and for that Mr. Reggie has to manage the
class. In this lesson Reggie had a total time of 1410 seconds in his
management. On the other had when the activities start, the level of
activity rises and no management is necessary. The total time for
activity was 1290 seconds, and its not a bad time but I feel like Reggie
is capable of getting those numbers higher because he has shown it
before. Overall I felt like his lesson went well, and the only thing I
would recommend him doing is setting rules and routines and being
more firm with them. If he can be more firm with them, the time of
management will decrease and the level of activity will rise.
