Amanda will receive her B.Ed. and teacher certification during the July 2015 convocation. During the November 3 - December 19, 2014 internship, { observed Amanda on a weekly basis as her STU Field Placement Supervisor. Her placement was at New Maryland Elementary School, in Schoo! District Anglophone West. She taught kindergarten-all subjects. Amanda plans lessons that are appropriate to the students’ background and grade level. The lesson plans have clear, logical structure and they are well organized. This was a real area of strength throughout the internship. She involves students actively in the learning process and she uses a variety of materials in presenting the lesson. Amanda is resourceful and creative in her teaching methods. She shows enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine warmth and interest in her students. ‘Amanda Leger gradually assumed the classroom duties and responsibilities of Heidi Taylor's kindergarten class. She handles routine procedures smoothly and efficiently while maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning. She is observant, quick to learn, honest and possesses a sense of humour. Amanda illustrates a commitment to teaching and a willingness to try new things. ‘Amanda displayed a keen interest in learning about young children and she developed many of the skills. necessary to make for successful learning. She has a special talent for teaching young children, She developed a positive rapport with the students in her class, Based on my observations to date, | feel that Amanda Leger is a very capable classroom teacher.
