the clerk's tale was taken from one of the story of boccaccio, which gives us a

perspective of how women should behave. griselda is a poor woman who

decides to marry Walter, a rich man, griselda is in love with him but walter to
be sure that griselda loves him decides to make her a proof after she's giving
birth to her first child, that proof will change everything.
Main Idea:
This narrative tells a story of love, but this love story is very different to those
normally we read, hear or see, no one imagines a love story with a husband
who pretends to kill their children to prove loyalty of his wife. This story focuses
on the relationship between Walter and Griselda, but this love from another
point of view, it seems an obligation or a duty, here, for walter the word love
means obedience. clerk's tale shows us the bonds of feelings between husband
and wife, duty, jealousy, obedience and compassion, making this a family
drama.
