Click Start, then right-click Computer and select Manage.

In Computer Management, select Disk Management.
To initialize the disks, select the partition style, then click OK.
To create a simple volume, right-click unallocated space on the disk and select New Simple Volume....
Click Next.
Type the amount of disk space to use for the volume, then click Next.
Select the drive letter, then click Next.
Select the format type and specify the volume label. Click Next.
Click Finish.
A spanned volume takes space from two or more disks. To create a spanned volume, right-click unallocated space on one of the disks and select New Spanned Volume....
Click Next.
To use space on both disks, select the remaining disk on the left, then click the Add > button.
To modify the amount of space used on each disk, select the disk in the box on the right, then modify the space in the box at the bottom. Click Next.
Select the drive letter, then click Next.
Select the format type and specify the volume label. Click Next.
Click Finish.
Spanned volumes can only be created on dynamic disks. Click Yes to upgrade the disks to dynamic.
