FHS 2400, What Is Romantic?
24 February 2015

For me, I would think the most romantic moment Ive ever had is when I went on a first
date with my boyfriend now. It was in the Fall, and we went out to dinner, at the time we were
both pretty nervous because the feeling was intense but at first we didnt talk about much so it
was a bit awkward but I started a small conversation about food and what he liked to eat as we
were browsing around the menu and I noticed how he would always look at me with his nice big
brown eyes and I get the butterflies whenever I would look up and he still would be looking at
me.
The first individual I interviewed is Diana Rodriguez, she is 22 years old. She described
that her most romantic moment ever was when her boyfriend sang to her, I asked why was that
the most romantic moment for you? Diana says that it was one of the best things ever because
her boyfriend has never done that to her before, but even though he isnt the best singer out there
it was such an amazing experience for the both of us because he sang out theme song out in front
of everyone who was at that party and it made my heart skip a beat, it was super cute!
The second individual I interview is Chloe Salinas, she is 46 years old. She described her
most romantic moment is when her boyfriend proposed to her. Chloe says that this is a special
moment for her because in all the times she prayed for the right person to spend my life with it
took a lot of strength to be patient and wait for God to bless me with whom I deserve to be with
after many heartaches. God still gave me hope to believe in love, I personally think that what
Chloe said about patient about finding that special someone relates to a section of our book about

what Acevedo and Aron (2009) said Long term couples or marriages dont inevitably lose the
intensity of engagement or sexual interest that characterize romantic love. They have been
together for about 3 years and her boyfriend propose to her so I find that relatable to it.
The last individual I interviewed is Ashley Zurita, she is 34 years old. She said she has so
much romantic moments with her husband and she couldnt choose which so she just told me a
couple that she thought were really romantic and I just chose one, but her romantic moment
would be when rented a condo in Manhattan (a condo next to Beyonce & Jay Z) for the night, so
as a mother he knew how I was overprotective I was with the kids and how I have my full
attention on them. So he wanted me to have some alone time and have fun and take care of
myself so I got in the condo and there was a lady who does the massage and pampered me. When
I was finished and left the room, there was a guy who gave me a note and a box, I read it and
there was a romantic poem my husband wrote and on it, it says to open the box. It was a lovely
red dress for me to wear and he said ill pick you up at 8:00pm tonight and he made reservations
to this lovely fancy restaurant, and that was the greatest romantic moment I ve ever had.
