It has come to my attention that you are currently hiring for the position of an RPN on the
mental health geriatrics unit at WOHC Brampton. I have discovered this opportunity after
searching the WOHC careers page. I have recently completed my final clinical experience on
the mental health geriatrics unit at WOHC Brampton and have truly enjoyed my experience
there. It would be an honour to be able to meet with you and discuss employment opportunity.
Personally, I believe the skills I have will help me reach the level of expectations that you
may have on your employees. I have received my diploma at Humber College for Practical
Nursing and am planning on writing the CPRNE this September. My past clinical experiences
have helped me to refine my teamwork and communication skills to a great extent. My ability
to easily communicate ideas as well as understand the ideas and thoughts of others is an asset
to any leadership tasks that the position will require. I have experience using the Meditech
documenting system and have an interest in computers and learning how to use new
programs, I believe this will allow me to easily and efficiently communicate electronically
with the health care team. I believe being a mental health nurse requires patience and the
ability to communicate well, in which I believe I have these qualities.
