Anna was an ant who lived in a tree deep inside the forest. She loved to go help find food for all
those who lived in the tree with her. Annas mother was the queen ant over all those who lived
inside the tree. One day a man came and started to cut down the tree. All the ants were afraid and
didnt know what to do. Annas mother told them all to get their things together and they would
all go find somewhere else to live. Anna was sad she had always called this tree her home.
Annas mother left for a short time while all the ants were quickly packing. The queen searched
high and low and then she found the perfect tree stump for all the ants to move to. Anna helped
move all the other ants to their new home and there they lived happily.

Millie was farmer Johns favorite milk cow,she loved the farm and all the animals around her.
Millies favorite thing to do was to go out in the field and eat all the green grass. Millie
wondered what was outside the beautiful farm for she never had a chance to go outside the farms
fences. Some of the geese would come back and tell stories of large lakes and huge trees. Oh,
how Millie longed to see the things outside the farm. One day Millie decided to go outside the
fence and see what beautiful things she could find. Millie walked down the long dirt road she
slowly ate the grass that lined the road. As she ate Millie lost her way and didnt realize that she
had become lost. Night time came and Millie was sad, oh how she wished she could find the
farm and farmer John. Millie found a large tree to sleep under and as she was about to fall asleep,
she heard the voice of the farmer calling her. Millie was soon found and she never wanted to
leave the farm again.

Lets hunt for gold! Mia told her brother Alex. They were playing in the sand on the beach.
Alex agreed. Maybe well find a chest full of gold coins! So they picked up their pails and
headed down the beach. After a few steps, they found some seashells. Mia put some small pink
shells in her pail. She shoveled some sand into her pail too. Im going to draw a picture of the
beach, she said. Ill glue the shells and sand to my picture. They kept walking. Soon, they
found some seaweed. Alex put some in his pail. Im going to make a lasso with this seaweed.
Mia put some seaweed in her pail too. Im going to make a jump rope. After a while, Alex
frowned. We didnt find any gold. No, but I see a whole dollar! Mia cried, racing ahead.
Really?Alex cried. Mia showed Alex her dollar. Alex laughed. You found a sand dollar!
Mia put the sand dollar in her pail. Then Mia and Alex went home with their riches.
