Paying tribute to the brave men and women who risked their

lives for others is the reasoning for this art. Inside the Star of
David, there are the faces of saviors during the Holocaust and
pictured in the middle is a representation of the suffering victims
that needed rescuing. With this picture, the importance is
enhanced: It is a necessity an imperative, due to the historical
truth and the legacy that our generation will bequeath to those
who will come after us, to speak not only of the lossbut also to
reveal, in its fullest scope, the heroic struggle of the people, the
community and the individual, during the days of massacre and at
the very epicentres of destruction (Koren). Being influenced by
the goodness in that time is just as important as learning about
the wrong of the Holocaust. The Star of David which Jews had to
wear to label themselves is now being shown with the faces of
hope in these awful times. The artwork is depicting an essential
message that is to never be forgotten.
