thousand tree forest was dedicated in memory of Perlasca, which
was made possible by a donation from Walter Arbib, a canadian
Jew (Perlasca Forest). Commemorating Perlascas brave actions
is important for never forgetting the impact his triumphs left.
During the ceremony, Perlascas son was present and spoke as his
father would have, saying My father was not a hero, he was a
regular person who could not turn away when he saw human
suffering (Perlasca Forest). Perlascas son did not let his
fathers legend die, just like this memorial in his name.
