PLANNING COMMISSION RESEARCH DIVISION Yojana Bhawan, Sagsad Marg, New Delhi -110001, Dated 73" lune 2014 The Research Division, Planning Commission requires the services of two (02) Young Professionals (YPs) to work on the India Energy Security Scenarios, 2047 initiative (IESS, 2047) at indiaenergy.gov.in. The India Energy Security Scenarios, 2047 is a national long-term scenario-building initiative that explores a range of potential future energy scenarios for India, for diverse energy demand and supply sectors leading up to 2047. The model allows users to interactively make energy choices, and explore a range of outcomes for the country ~ from carbon dioxide emissions and import dependence to land-use. The Research Division is looking for two Young Professionals to join the IESS 2047 team, to work on energy modeling, energy policy, as well as large-scale project management and coordination with national and international knowledge partners, Essential Qualifications:Candidates must have; 1. A strong technical background , with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Economics/Mathematics/Statistics, or relevant fields, or an MBA (Masters in Business Administration ) 2. At least 1 year of work experience with a consulting firm, or an organization in the energy related or hi-tech field 3. Strong analytical writing, communication and presentation skills, Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet / Excel operations, and Power Point presentations Desirable Qualifications: 1. Experience with computer programming and /or statistical visualization tools or any other front end visualization platforms Process of selection: The screening/selection process may include writtentest/personal talks. Duration: Candidates selected will be appointed on contract basisnormally for an initial period of one year. This term can be extended for a maximum period of five years on year to year basis depending upon performance/need of the PlanningCommission.Fee: The consolidated fee shall range between Rs. 25,000/- andRs. 40,000/- per month depending upon educational qualification and work experience. Local Conveyance: An additional amount of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be paid as local conveyance.
