Dear Mrs. Abril,
I am applying to be a nursing aide. I heard of the opening in my Medical Occupations class
taught by Mr. Gerald Fragasso. I have been involved in Mercy Medical Center for the past 3
years. Starting in February 2012, I was hired as a student volunteer at the lobby desk and
cafeteria. I have been in this position since then and would love to become a nursing aide as well.
As of last semester, I have a 3.5 GPA. Due to the fact that I have worked at Mercy Medical
Center, I have learned many of the protocols and know exactly what to do if there is an
emergency situation. I have socialized with patients and have developed strategies on how to
interact with them. I am good at typing, writing, and socializing with others. I also have job
experience from working at the Merced High School Library.
I request and would appreciate if you would consider interviewing me. It would be a great honor.
