WHY:

The University of North Floridas Ogier Gardens has been


recognized by Mr. Donald Trump for its efforts in health education
and commitment to serving the University and the Jacksonville
area. He has made a decision in invest in the growth and
improvement of the gardens and would like to announce his
contribution and future plans for the gardens.

About:
Ogier Gardens is a student run organic garden on the University
of North Florida campus. When it opened in 2009 its goal was to provide
healthy options and learning opportunities for the students. It has since
become a source of organic fruits and vegetables , providing for the school
caf along with donating to multiple food banks in the Jacksonville area,
including UNFs Lend-A-Wing pantry. The gardens also has taken on the
initiative of health education providing opportunities for students to learn
about healthy eating, organic gardening, and the farming industry.
