To Whom It May Concern;
It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Debbie Yang. Debbie is a student in
my Child Development class at Merced High School. I have known her since August
2014. As a student, Debbie has demonstrated many qualities that will enable her to be
successful. She has perfect attendance this year. She is attentive and follows directions. She
completes all her assignments in a timely manner. She works well on both individual and
group projects, working effectively and cooperatively with fellow students. She participates in
class discussion, asking for clarification when needed.
Debbie carries herself with confidence and a positive attitude. She currently has a 2.9
GPA. Debbie ultimately wants to become a marriage and family counselor. She plans on
attending Fresno State University and pursuing a Bachelors degree in
Psychology/Counseling.
Debbie is active in school clubs. She has been involved with the Leo Club assisting with
fundraising and community service; including Medic Alert and Pedal Merced. She is on the
Yearbook Staff at Merced High, responsible for taking photos and meeting deadlines with the
instructor while at school and school-related events. Through these interactions she has
learned to better communicate with her peers as well as adults and work well with others.
Debbie is a hard-working and open-minded young lady. Overall, I believe she has the
determination and study skills that will enable her to succeed as she continues with her
